Eye prescriptions should be no older than 12 months to have them filled. This is to protect the health of your eyes, and screen for diseases and disorders of the. OHIP (Ontario Health Insurance Plan) covers one eye exam per year for most eligible people (with the exception of people between 20 and 64 who have never needed eye correction and are free of eye disorders). Contact our Toronto opticalshop to schedule a complete eye exam, which can include an eyeglasses eye exam, an exam for new contact lenses, or both (depending on your needs).
